We love the team at United Service Specialists! We’ve been working with Carlos on our HVAC system after having multiple other service calls from other companies. Carlos was knowledgeable, kind, and helped us to diagnose a new to us AC unit. He’s also serviced our boiler system as well to make both run like new! Carlton has also been helpful at our routine service calls. We’ve had plumbers come out as well, Justin & Chris most recently to help us with a leaky kitchen faucet which turned out to be a whole home water pressure issue. They quickly diagnosed the issue and found the most cost effective solution for us. We’ve also had Marvin come out to help us with a bathroom faucet. I remember from quite a while ago being so impressed with Carlos Ramirez, that I made a note to request him on the next service call. That may have been decades ago. The very next service call, I think he was not available...and usually we don't plan for emergencies well. My wife got him started on the repair. He had said that he had serviced us before, but, we have all aged. I did not recognize him....and my apologies. I remembered the name when I went through the emails post job completion. I'll be requesting him again next time if things are so urgent. Miss the cheap Honeywell circular thermostats of yore. Are they illegal now??? Never should have thrown away the old one we had. I am sure I could get my hands on a few working used ones. One can buy a laptop for the price of the current fancy thermostat. That is my only complaint.

(Part 2, continued from earlier post) Most impressive though was that if they did run into a snag, they found a solution and worked with someone on their team who could help; if they needed support, they asked for it; and the company provided it. Early on, I heard from Bob the owner who called me at home to tell me he personally was on the job and committed to finding a solution. Clearly he has set the right tone for this company. But I was most impressed with the folks he had on the ground. Matt who was a senior tech on the heating side of the business was very knowledgeable and could not have been more responsive. When he realized we might be delayed in getting heat, he sent someone over during the weekend with space heaters for us to use until they could get us a proper unit installed. While situations like these are inevitable as part of home ownership, they are still unfortunate and certainly an inconvenience for all when they happen. Let's be honest - no one ever wants to be without heat in the winter or AC in the summer or hot water at any time. But it's sure nice to know when the gremlins strike you have a team you can count on to work with you and who will step up and see a project through. They sure earned my business. Thanks, USS!
